How to install League of Legends on Linux Mint 19.3

Today we are looking at how to install League of Legends on Linux Mint 19.3.  This installation guide exists out of 3 parts.  In the first part, we install Win Stable, the first 6 commands below.  After that we install Lutris, and lastly, we open up the league of legends Lutris page and install it from there.  Enjoy!

As you would see during the installation of League, Lutris will recommend you install Vulkan drivers, with a good article on how to if you have an Intel, AMD or Nvidia GPU which will improve the experience but it is not required.

Update: Since making this video, Wine 5.0 has arrived and the installation commands have changed, we updated the commands below, so it is now different than in the video, and we made a completely new video with the new commands.

Install Wine
1) sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
2) wget -nc
3) sudo apt-key add winehq.key
4) sudo xed /etc/apt/sources.list
deb bionic main
deb ./
5) sudo apt-key adv --keyserver --recv-keys DFA175A75104960E
6) sudo apt update
7) sudo apt install --install-recommends winehq-stable

Commands are based on this:

Install Lutris
7) sudo add-apt-repository ppa:lutris-team/lutris
8) sudo apt update
9) sudo apt-get install lutris
10) sudo bash -c 'echo "abi.vsyscall32 = 0" >> /etc/sysctl.conf && sysctl -p'
