How to install OpenShot 2.5 on Ubuntu 18.04


Today we are looking at how to install OpenShot 2.5 on Ubuntu 18.04.  This release of OpenShot is a major release and please look at the official release notes, link below.

The installation process is quite easy, as seen in the video, simply copy/paste the commands below into a terminal and follow the instructions as seen in the video.


The first command will add the OpenShot 2.5 repository, the second will update your system's repositories (on Ubuntu 18.04 and newer it is not needed because your sources are being up)dated when added a PPA automatically, but on some Ubuntu-based distros it is required, and the last command will install Teamspeak.  Enjoy OpenShot 2.5!

Commands Used:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:openshot.developers/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install openshot-qt
