Today we are looking at how to install Minecraft on a Chromebook, we created a tutorial before, but after going through your comments and some of the errors which you experienced we thought it would be good to create a revised installation guide.
Some of the changes are an easier installation method, some Chrome flags that need to be disabled to fix some of the mouse pointer questions and display issues. Sadly, we can't fix many of the "laggy" issues as some Chromebooks hardware is not powerful enough and Chromebooks with ARM64 CPUs cant run Minecraft currently. However, we have created a tutorial on how to install Minetest, which is a free alternate to Minecraft which takes fewer resources and works on ALL Chromebooks.
Update: about the flags which we show in the video, we realized after hearing from Minecraft users that where we showed in the video that you have to disable the settings, you actually need to enable them. please let us know if you have any questions in the youtube comments.

Please take note that with the release of Chrome OS 90, the location of Linux Apps has been changed in the Chromebook’s settings. Have a look at this tutorial, to see how to turn on Linux apps and then continue with the installation tutorial.
