How to install FL Studio 20 on a Chromebook - New Tutorial


Due to an update this installation method no longer works, but please have a look at our revised tutorials on how to install FL Studio 20 on a Chromebook (free but a lot of work with the terminal, including launching it with the terminal), or with Crossover, paid with a two-week trial but applications launchers work as expected.  
Please take note that both methods are the free trial version of FL Studio, and you need to buy a premium plan to have access to the full program.
Today we are looking at how to install FL Studio 20 on a Chromebook.  Please follow the video/audio guide as a tutorial where we explain the process step by step and use the commands below.

This tutorial will only work on Chromebooks with an Intel or AMD CPU (with Linux Apps Support) and not those with an ARM64 architecture CPU.

Commands Used:
1) sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
2) sudo apt update
3) sudo apt install wine
4) winecfg
5) wget -c https://demodownload.image-line.com/flstudio/flstudio_win_20.7.3.1987.exe
6) wine flstudio_win_20.7.3.1987.exe
7) wine start ".wine/drive_c/Program Files/Image-Line/Shared/Start/FL Studio 20.lnk"
