How to install Minecraft on a Chromebook in 2021

I created an updated tutorial, please have a look.

Today we are looking at how to install Minecraft on a Chromebook.  Please follow the video/audio guide as a tutorial where we explain the process step by step and use the commands below.

This tutorial will only work on Chromebooks with an Intel or AMD CPU (with Linux Apps Support) and not those with an ARM64 architecture CPU.

If you have any questions, please contact us at cosmadesimple@gmail.com or follow our similar tutorial on youtube.

Please take note that with the release of Chrome OS 90,  the location of Linux Apps has been changed in the Chromebook’s settings.  Have a look at this tutorial, to see how to turn on Linux apps and then continue with the installation tutorial.
