How to install Firealpaca on a Chromebook

Today we are looking at how to install Firealpaca, a free digital painting application,  on a Chromebook.  Please follow the video/audio guide as a tutorial where we explain the process step by step and use the commands below.

If you have any questions, please contact us via a YouTube comment and we would be happy to assist you!

This tutorial will only work on Chromebooks with an Intel or AMD CPU (with Linux Apps Support) and not those with an ARM64 architecture CPU.

Please take note that with the release of Chrome OS 90,  the location of Linux Apps has been changed in the Chromebook’s settings.  Have a look at this tutorial, to see how to turn on Linux apps and then continue with the installation tutorial.

Update: with the release of Chrome OS 96, the Linux container on a Chromebook has been upgraded to a newer version.  Because of this, we updated the commands to keep the tutorial relevant.  If you have any questions, please let us know on Youtube.
