How to install VRoid Studio on a Chromebook with Crossover

Today we are looking at how to install VRoid Studio on a Chromebook with Crossover.

This tutorial will only work on Chromebooks with an Intel or AMD CPU (with Linux Apps Support) and not those with an ARM64 architecture CPU.

Please use the video as a visual guide, and the links below to install it on your Chromebook.

We start the process by enabling the Linux Container on our Chromebook.  You can always remove it again in the future as well if needed.

To enable it, we go to the settings of our Chromebook, inside of it, we click on the "Advance" option in the left panel, and then the "Developers" section. Then enable Linux from there as seen in the video.

2) 00:44 Now we will download Crossover and VRoid Studio.

2.1) Now we will start downloading VRoid Studio.

2.2) 00:56 Now we will start downloading Crossover.

*Crossover comes with a 2 week free trial period, and afterwards it is paid.

Now we will open the files in our file manager.  We will move the VRoid Studio installer to our Linux files in our file manager and install Crossover.

3.1) Now we will open the files in our file manager and move the VRoid Studio file to our Linux files in our file manager.

3.2) 01:50 Now we will install Crossover.  We will right-click on the installer in our file manager and install it with Linux.

Now we will launch Crossover and install VRoid Studio with it.

4.1) Now we will launch Crossover.

4.2) 02:54 Now we will choose to install an "unlisted program.  As seen in the video, choose the VRoid Studio installer, and choose a Windows 10 64 bit contaioner to install it in.  Then click on install.

03:34 Now we need to install many packages which Crossover and VRoid Studio requires.  After the packages in installed, please continue with the installation process as seen in the video.

4.4) 04:15 Now we will install VRoid Studio, with its installation wizard.  When it is completed, follow the video again,  to complete the whole installation process.

5) 04:43 We will launch the VRoid Studio now.

*During the launch process it will remind you that Crossover comes witn a two week trial period,  As mentioned earlier in the tutorial.
