Today we look at how to install Steam on Ubuntu 18.10 as a Snap. This Snap package was created by the Solus OS team, with the goal to make Steam run even smoother than usual on Linux which is great, and as it is a Snap a person can install it on nearly any Linux distro.
When I ran it the first time I ran into an error, so before running Steam, after the installation please disable "the use native runtime" as shown in the video.
If something does not work for you, then please let me know, and yes you can enable Steam Play, Steam Beta Client and all the good stuff! Enjoy!
sudo snap install --edge solus-runtime-gaming
sudo snap install --devmode --edge linux-steam-integration
