Linux Weekly Round-Up #4

Linux Weekly Round-Up #4

Hello to all of you and thank you for reading this weekly Linux Round-Up.

It was an exciting Linux week with distros finishing up with releases for 2018, completely new distros and starting new versions for 2019 as we saw quite a few beta releases.

The Linux distros that with new releases in this week are: BunsenLabs Helium 4, MX Linux 18 Beta 1, Avouch Linux 0.1.0 Beta 1, Mageia 7 Beta 1 and Antergos 18.12.
Out of all these distros, Mageia 7 Beta 1 stood out for me as it is our first glimpse at Mageia 7 and it feels fresh and much more crisp than their previous releases without losing any of its power and tools.

The app highlights of the week for me is Midori 7, Midori has been with us for a while and is a light, fast GTK browser, and a great Firefox or Chrome alternative.

The hardware spotlight of this week is the Blue Snowflake mic which I use for my channel with voice-overs, a cheap sturdy mic that works great with Linux and you can use it on the go!

Well, this is Linux Made Simple's Linux roundup for the week.  I hope you enjoyed it and see you next week!  Ps.  Would you like a Christmas/new year special where we look at the distros in 2018 which impressed me the most, the least and those we need to keep our eyes on?  Let me know!
