Today we are looking at how to install Shutter on Linux Mint 19.1. Shutter is sadly no longer supported and in Ubuntu 18.10 it is not even in the repositories. It is however still in Ubuntu 18.04 and therefore Linux Mint 19.1, but the edit function does not work. This PPA fixes it in a very easy way. So for a quick description of what these three commands will do. The first will add a repository to your system, the second will update your system, as well as the newly added repository and the last, will install Shutter via the newly added repository and everything will work perfectly.
Commands Used:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1/shutter
sudo apt update
sudo apt install shutter
