How to install the latest version of Audacity on Ubuntu 18.04

Today we are looking at how to install the latest version of Audacity on Ubuntu via a PPA.  Audacity offers a nightly PPA but not a Stable one, so we are using a valid unofficial one.  I attached the source code of the PPA below so you can check it out if you like, but I trust it.  After you added the PPA you will receive newer versions via your normal system updates.

The second command is not needed in Ubuntu, but it is needed if you are using Linux Mint for example.

Commands Used:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1/audacity

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt install audacity
