Install TeamSpeak 3 Client on Ubuntu 16.04


Today we are looking at how to install TeamSpeak 3 on Ubuntu 18.04.  It is quite a few commands so please look at the videos below on how to install it.  The video with voice-overs is made with Ubuntu 17.10 but the method is exactly the same as this will work on most Linux distros.  Enjoy!

Instructions:
1) Download TeamSpeak
teamspeak.com

2) Installation:
sudo ./TeamSpeak3-Client-linux*

3) Use these commands during the installation:
q
move installation to a place where all users on the system can access it
sudo mv TeamSpeak3-Client-linux_amd64 /opt/

4) Test installation
/opt/TeamSpeak3-Client-linux_amd64/ts3client_runscript.sh

5) Add icon to the menu:
icon location:
/opt/TeamSpeak3-Client-linux_amd64/styles/default/logo-128x128.png
sudo apt-get install alacarte

add the app (a reboot might be required)
