Instructions:
1) Download Appimage
wget -c https://inkscape.org/gallery/item/18047/Inkscape-09960d6-x86_64.AppImage
2) Set Permissions
3) Move Package to /opt directory
sudo mv Inkscape-09960d6-x86_64.AppImage /opt
4) Add to menu
sudo apt install menulibre
command (appimage location)
icon location (/usr/share/icons/HighContrast/256x256/apps/inkscape.png)
