How to install Conky Manager on Linux Mint 20


Today we are going to look at how to install Conky Manager on Linux Mint 20.  Firstly we download two packages which we need to install Conky.  In the second step, we install Conky.  In the third step, we install the two packages which we downloaded and with the last command, we install some missing dependencies from step three which we require.  Enjoy Conky!

Commands Used:
1) wget http://launchpadlibrarian.net/340091846/realpath_8.26-3ubuntu4_all.deb https://github.com/teejee2008/conky-manager/releases/download/v2.4/conky-manager-v2.4-amd64.deb
2) sudo apt install conky
3) sudo dpkg -i realpath_8.26-3ubuntu4_all.deb conky-manager-v2.4-amd64.deb
4) sudo apt install -f

  1. line 3 - terminal says no such file exists?

    lines 1, 2 & 4 seem ok - no error messages in terminal

    Conky won't install because of line 3

    any ideas? Thanks

  2. It wasn't "made simple" for me. Commands appear to be out of date and don't work.
    Maybe it should be called, "Clunky"?!

    and step 3 will work
