How to install older versions of Minecraft on a Chromebook


Today we are looking at how to install older versions of Minecraft on a Chromebook.  Please follow the video/audio guide as a tutorial where we explain the process step by step and use the commands below.

Please take note that with the release of Chrome OS 89,  the location of Linux Apps has been changed in the Chromebook’s settings.  Have a look at this tutorial, to see how to turn on Linux apps and then continue with the installation tutorial.

Commands Used:
1) sudo apt update
2) wget https://launcher.mojang.com/download/Minecraft.deb
3) sudo dpkg -i Minecraft.deb
4) sudo apt -f install


If you can't move 360 degrees inside Minecraft, apply this fix.
