How to install Unity Editor 2019.04 LTS on a Chromebook


Today we are looking at how to install Unity Editor 2019.04 LTS on a Chromebook.  Please follow the video/audio guide as a tutorial where we explain the process step by step and use the commands below.

This tutorial will only work on Chromebooks with an Intel or AMD CPU (with Linux Apps Support) and not those with an ARM64 architecture CPU.

Commands Used:
1) sudo apt update
2) sudo apt install libgconf-2-4 libarchive13 mono-devel libnss3 flatpak
3) sudo flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
4) sudo flatpak install flathub com.unity.UnityHub
5) wget http://beta.unity3d.com/download/0af376155913/UnitySetup
6) chmod 755 UnitySetup
7) ./UnitySetup

  3. GTK cannot open DISPLAY. Are you trying to run --unattended or --list-component
    s? Is something wrong?

    1. Oh also wget http://beta.unity3d.com/download/0af376155913/UnitySetup wasnt downloaded all the way and didn't finish but it let me type another comannd
