How to download the itch.io app on a Chromebook


Today we are looking at how to download the itch.io app on a Chromebook.  Please follow the video/audio guide as a tutorial where we explain the process step by step and use the commands below.

Please note that only the Linux games (not all but most) will work on your Chromebook.

Please take note that with the release of Chrome OS 90,  the location of Linux Apps has been changed in the Chromebook’s settings.  Have a look at this tutorial, to see how to turn on Linux apps and then continue with the installation tutorial.

Commands Used:
1) chmod 755 itch-setup
2) sudo apt update
3) sudo apt install libnss3
4) sudo apt install menulibre
5) menulibre

  1. I keep getting an error when I run menulibre. It is kinda annoying since I already had itch.io downloaded before I had to do I reset, but coder I am NOT so I need some help to figure this out.
