How to install Dofus on a Chromebook in 2021


Today we are looking at how to install Dofus on a Chromebook.  Please follow the video/audio guide as a tutorial where we explain the process step by step and use the commands below.

This tutorial will only work on Chromebooks with an Intel or AMD CPU (with Linux Apps Support) and not those with an ARM64 architecture CPU.

Dofus is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG),  it is a fantasy game with good and evil characters.  If you wonder if the game is for you, please search for reviews online and decide for yourself.

Commands Used:
1) sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
2) sudo apt update
3) sudo apt install wine winbind libnss3 menulibre
4) winecfg
5) wget https://launcher.cdn.ankama.com/installers/production/Ankama%20Launcher-Setup-x86_64.AppImage
6) sudo chmod 755 Ankama\ Launcher-Setup-x86_64.AppImage
7) ./Ankama\ Launcher-Setup-x86_64.AppImage --disable-framerate-limit
8) menulibre

Chrome Flags:

Update: with the release of Chrome OS 96, the Linux container on a Chromebook has been upgraded to a newer version.  This tutorial still works exactly as in the video, but it is no longer needed to apply the setting below, in Google Chrome as in the beginning of the video.
