How to install OpenToonz eXperimental on a Chromebook


Today we are looking at how to install OpenToonz eXperimental on a Chromebook.  Please follow the video/audio guide as a tutorial where we explain the process step by step and use the commands below.

This tutorial will only work on Chromebooks with an Intel or AMD CPU (with Linux Apps Support) and not those with an ARM64 architecture CPU.

Please take note that audio will not work in the application, and maybe some functions as well.

Commands Used:
1) wget https://github.com/manongjohn/OTX/releases/download/OTX-2021-05-13/OpenToonz-OTX-linux.tar.gz
2) tar -xf OpenToonz-OTX-linux.tar.gz
3) rm OpenToonz-OTX-linux.tar.gz
4) mv OpenToonzPortable/* /home/$USER/
5) sudo apt install menulibre
6) menulibre
