How to install Wizard101 on a Chromebook with Crossover 21

Due to backend updates, Wizard101 sadly doesn't work on a Chromebook currently.  I hope it is fixed soon.  I apologize for the inconveniences.

Today we are looking at how to install Wizard101 on a Chromebook with Crossover 21.  Please follow the video/audio guide as a tutorial where we explain the process step by step and use the commands below.

This tutorial will only work on Chromebooks with an Intel or AMD CPU (with Linux Apps Support) and not those with an ARM64 architecture CPU.

Command Used:
sudo apt update

Update: with the release of Chrome OS 96, the Linux container on a Chromebook has been upgraded to a newer version.  This tutorial still works exactly as in the video, but it is no longer needed to apply the setting below, in Google Chrome as in the beginning of the video.

We mention in the video, that you can run Crossover for free if you do not want to/or can't afford the license fee.  It is a bit tricky but possible.  So to do this download the trial period of Crossover,  and install it, as seen in the video.  Use Crossover for the free trial period of two weeks.  After your two weeks are finished,  remove your Linux Apps in your system settings (you will lose all your Linux Apps and Linux Folder, in your file manager) and then turn it on again and set up Crossover and Wizard101 again.  We know it is not convenient, but it works!
