How to display Asterisks in your terminal when typing your password in Ubuntu 18.04


One of the issues new Linux users experience is that when typing your password nothing seems to be happening and it can lead to confusion.  In this video, I show how to enable a feature so that Asterisks will be shown when typing your password inside a terminal.  Enjoy!

Instructions:
sudo gedit /etc/sudoers

find the following line
Defaults env_reset

and add

,pwfeedback
