Today we are looking at how to install the latest version of Mesa on Ubuntu 18.04. At the time of making the video, the latest version of Mesa was 18.1.1 but this installation guide will give you the latest version of Mesa which at the time when making this blog is 18.2.8 and you will receive updates (when available through your normal updates).
Commands Used:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/updates
sudo apt dist-upgrade
sudo apt install mesa-utils
Display version of Mesa:
glxinfo | grep "OpenGL version"
Info about PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/ubuntu/updates
