How to install LibreOffice 6.4 on a Chromebook


Today we are looking at how to install LibreOffice 6.4.  Please follow the thorough video/audio guide below and please contact us if you have any questions!

Commands Used:
sudo apt install xarchiver
sudo dpkg -i *.deb

Update:  In Chrome OS 83 Linux Apps has an option now, not seen in this video as it was recorded before Chrome OS 83, to choose a username for your Linux Apps,  it is completely optional and you can just press on the install option to continue, as seen in the video.  Please send us a comment on YouTube if you need assistance!

  1. Hello. Maybe you can help me. I'm following the instructions and it doesn't work on my chromebook. The message says something like my system is not "adm64" but "arm64". Is there any way this could work in my "arm64" system? I don't really know what that means. Thank you in advance for your help.
