How to install MyPaint 2.0.0 on Ubuntu 18.04

Today we are looking at how to install MyPaint 2.0.0 which is easy to use, open-source, yet powerful drawing tool on Ubuntu 18.04.

We use the appimage and look at how to integrate it into our system, as well as we possibly can.

The reason why we move the appimage to the /opt directory is that many third-party applications stores their data their and it is easily available for all your users on your system.

Instructions:
1) Download MyPaint
wget https://github.com/mypaint/mypaint/releases/download/v2.0.0/MyPaint-v2.0.0.AppImage
2) Set permissions
3) Move to /opt directory
sudo mv MyPaint-v2.0.0.AppImage /opt/
4) Add to menu
sudo apt install alacarte
5) Add icon
/var/lib/app-info/icons/ubuntu-bionic-universe/64x64/mypaint_mypaint.png
