LibreOffice 6.4

Today we are looking at how to install, from scratch, LibreOffice 6.4 on Ubuntu 18.04, but this will work on all Ubuntu and Debian based distros, like Linux Mint, Elementary OS, etc.

In this installation method, we download the deb package from the official site, extract it and install all the deb packages at once, which can be complicated but we hope that we made it easier for you.  After that, we quickly look at LibreOffice 6.4, but it is a very quick look, for more details please have a look at the release notes, below.  This method will install LibreOffice 6.4 alongside your current version of LibreOffice.

If you want to upgrade your version of LibreOffice to 6.4 or the latest please add this PPA to your system, by copy/pasting this command into a terminal and press enter and you will receive upgrades with your normal system updates when available.  sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa

Enjoy!

Command Used:
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
