How to install Vivaldi Browser on a Chromebook

Today we are looking at how to install Vivaldi on a Chromebook.

As seen in the video below, we firstly enable Linux Apps on our system, then we download the Vivaldi installation package from the website and move the package from our Download folder to our Linux Apps folder.  After that, we change the name of the package to vivaldi.deb (for in case the name of the package change, the commands will still be the same,  and working) and then we install it on our system with the three commands below.  Enjoy!

If you want to update your application in the future, open a terminal session (like you did to install Vivaldi), and copy/paste this command into it, sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade

Commands Used:
1) sudo apt update
2) sudo dpkg -i vivaldi.deb
3) sudo apt -f install

Update:  In Chrome OS 83 Linux Apps has an option now, not seen in this video as it was recorded before Chrome OS 83, to choose a username for your Linux Apps,  it is completely optional and you can just press on the install option to continue, as seen in the video.  Please send us a comment on YouTube if you need assistance!
