How to install Sublime Text editor on a Chromebook


Today we are looking at how to install Sublime Text editor on a Chromebook.  Please follow the video/audio guide as a tutorial where we explain the process step by step and use the commands below.

Please take note that with the release of Chrome OS 90,  the location of Linux Apps has been changed in the Chromebook’s settings.  Have a look at this tutorial, to see how to turn on Linux apps and then continue with the installation tutorial.

Commands Used:
1) wget -qO - https://download.sublimetext.com/sublimehq-pub.gpg | sudo apt-key add -
2) echo "deb https://download.sublimetext.com/ apt/stable/" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/sublime-text.list
3) sudo apt update
4) sudo apt install sublime-text
