How to download the itch.io app on a Chromebook

Today we are looking at how to download the itch.io app on a Chromebook.  Please follow the video/audio guide as a tutorial where we explain the process step by step and use the commands below.

This tutorial will only work on Chromebooks with an Intel or AMD CPU (with Linux Apps Support) and not those with an ARM64 architecture CPU.

Please note that only the Linux games (not all but most) will work on your Chromebook.

If you have any questions, please contact us via a YouTube comment and we would be happy to assist you!

Please take note that with the release of Chrome OS 90,  the location of Linux Apps has been changed in the Chromebook’s settings.  Have a look at this tutorial, to see how to turn on Linux apps and then continue with the installation tutorial.

Commands Used:
1) chmod 755 itch-setup
2) sudo apt update
3) sudo apt install libnss3
4) sudo apt install menulibre
5) menulibre

  1. Very interesting blog. Alot of blogs I see these days don't really provide anything that I'm interested in, but I'm most definitely interested in this one. Just thought that I would post and let you know.
