How to install Friday Night Funkin on a Chromebook

Today we are looking at how to install Friday Night Funkin on a Chromebook.  Please follow the video/audio guide as a tutorial where we explain the process step by step and use the commands below.

This tutorial will only work on Chromebooks with an Intel or AMD CPU (with Linux Apps Support) and not those with an ARM64 architecture CPU.

Please note that a few people, not all struggle with week 2 and week 5.

Please take note that with the release of Chrome OS 90,  the location of Linux Apps has been changed in the Chromebook’s settings.  Have a look at this tutorial, to see how to turn on Linux apps and then continue with the installation tutorial.

Commands Used:
1) sudo mv /etc/apt/sources.list /etc/apt/oldsources.list
2) sudo touch /etc/apt/sources.list
3) sudo echo deb bullseye main  | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list
4) sudo apt update
5) sudo apt dist-upgrade
6) unzip
7) chmod 755 Funkin
8) ./Funkin
9) sudo apt install menulibre
10) menulibre

    1. you are supposed to put sudo as the first word on your command then do it.

    2. well yea did you actually think it would work on those pieces of crap? besides what ever district ur in probs had there chromebooks managed

    3. Most chromebooks block the action to run Linux, as it gives students a way to bypass filters.
