How to install FreeCAD on a Chromebook


Today we are looking at how to install FreeCAD on a Chromebook.  Please follow the video/audio guide as a tutorial where we explain the process step by step and use the commands below.

Commands Used:
1) sudo apt update
2) sudo apt install flatpak
3) sudo flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
4) sudo flatpak install flathub org.freecadweb.FreeCAD
5) sudo chown root:root /usr/bin/bwrap && sudo chmod u+s /usr/bin/bwrap

  2. Hi. I was having some issues with some of the capabilities of the software(such as padding and changing preferences). After asking on the freeCAD forums, they told me I was running a much older version. I have just reset my Linux environment and re-installed, but it does not seem to be updated. do you know of any way to get the latest version? Thanks for any help.
