How to install Second Life on a Chromebook - Updated Tutorial


Today we are looking at how to install Firestorm Second Life on a Chromebook.  Please follow the video/audio guide as a tutorial where we explain the process step by step and use the commands below.

This tutorial will only work on Chromebooks with an Intel or AMD CPU (with Linux Apps Support) and not those with an ARM64 architecture CPU.

Commands Used:
1) sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
2) sudo apt update
3) sudo apt install libidn11:i386 libstdc++6:i386 gstreamer1.0-pulseaudio:i386 libnss3:i386 libnspr4:i386 libxtst6:i386 libgconf-2-4:i386 libxss1:i386 libnss3 wine menulibre
4) winecfg
5) tar xf Phoenix-Firestorm-Releasex64-7-1-10-75913
6) ./Phoenix-Firestorm-Releasex64-7-1-10-75913/firestorm
7) menulibre
