How to install Citra on a Chromebook in 2023


Today we are looking at how to install Citra on a Chromebook in 2023.  Please follow the video/audio guide as a tutorial where we explain the process step by step and use the commands below.

This tutorial will only work on Chromebooks with an Intel or AMD CPU (with Linux Apps Support) and not those with an ARM64 architecture CPU.

Please take note that you must own the Roms, as Roms are copyrighted and we may not assist you with Roms.

Commands Used:
1) sudo apt update
2) sudo apt install flatpak nemo
3) sudo flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
4) sudo flatpak install flathub org.citra_emu.citra
5) sudo chown root:root /usr/bin/bwrap && sudo chmod u+s /usr/bin/bwrap
6) flatpak run --env=QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland org.citra_emu.citra
