How to install Friday Night Funkin on a Chromebook - the Windows version


Today we are looking at how to install Friday Night Funkin, the 32 bit Windows version, on a Chromebook.  Please follow the video/audio guide as a tutorial where we explain the process step by step and use the commands below.

Please note that this guide is far from perfect, it crashes on occasion, but the fact that this is possible is amazing.  You can also install Friday Night Funkin, the Linux version like this:

We recommend that you start with a new instance of Linux Apps and have at least 6GB of space available for the game.

This tutorial will only work on Chromebooks with an Intel or AMD CPU (with Linux Apps Support) and not those with an ARM64 architecture CPU.

1) sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
2) sudo apt update
3) sudo apt install libjpeg62 libnss-mdns:i386 libglu1-mesa:i386 libxcursor1:i386 libxrandr2:i386 libcapi20-3:i386 libfontconfig1:i386 libgsm1:i386 libldap-2.4-2:i386 libmpg123-0:i386 libopenal1:i386 libosmesa6:i386 libpulse0:i386 libsane:i386 libv4l-0:i386 libxcomposite1:i386 libxinerama1:i386 libxml2:i386 libxslt1.1:i386 wine
4) winecfg
5) unzip funkin-windows-32bit.zip 
6) wine Funkin.exe
